Laboratory Project Engineer -Renewable Energy
Location: Shanghai, China
Reporting To: Senior Manager of Lab, ACWA Power China
Job Overview
Responsible for evaluation, quotation, project initiation to output of test reports, laboratory quality control, assisting with audits, developing new testing capabilities, conducting abnormal test investigations and failure analysis, and assisting in benchmarking tests to ensure stability of power standards.
Responsibilities
61 Responsible for the evaluation, quotation, project initiation, documentation, scheduling, data tracking, feedback, and output of test reports for testing projects.
61 Responsible for laboratory quality control, including periodic inspections, testing comparisons, and proficiency verification.
61 Assist with various internal and external audits to ensure the proper functioning of the laboratory testing system.
61 Assist in developing new testing capabilities in the laboratory, including equipment selection, acceptance, and calibration.
61 Collaborate within the laboratory to conduct abnormal test investigations and failure analysis.
61 Assist in regular benchmarking tests with external third-party organizations to ensure the stability of power standards.
Qualifications
61 Bachelor’s degree or above in science or engineering.
61 Over 5 years of experience in testing or technical work in the photovoltaic industry, with a preference for candidates with photovoltaic laboratory testing experience.
61 Strong communication, coordination, and execution skills.
61 Familiarity with photovoltaic IEC/UL international standards and industry-standard testing methods and procedures.
61 Fluent in English.
61 Familiar with the relevant characteristics of photovoltaic products and materials.
61 Knowledgeable about the product structure and manufacturing processes of photovoltaic modules (such as welding, lamination, and IV testing).
61 Familiar with photovoltaic testing standards such as IEC 61215, IEC/UL 61730, IEC 60904, etc.
61 Proficient in mainstream IV testing equipment and testing principles.
61 Capable of conducting failure analysis for photovoltaic product testing and familiar with common failure mechanisms.
61 Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to write detailed test reports.
